Uh... care to make that boast once again, after BSU won the WAC, annihilated the PAC-10 champ (#7 Oregon), and thumped the MWC champ (#4 TCU) to become the 2nd team in history to go 14-0? I don't buy into this SEC worship. Ooh, Florida and Alabama are so good because they play in the SEC, where everybody but two teams (Vandy & Miss St) go to a bowl! Hmm, let's see...

12/27 L Kentucky 13 - Clemson 21
12/28 W Georgia 44 - Texas A&M 20
12/31 L Tennessee 14 - Virginia Tech 37
1/1 W Auburn 38 - Northwestern 35
1/1 L LSU 17 - Penn State 19
1/2 L South Carolina 7 - Connecticut 20
1/2 W Mississippi 21 - Okla. State 7
1/2 W Arkansas 20 - ECU 17

So that's a 4-4 record for SEC teams in bowls. The WAC went 2-2. Both .500. Now, I'm not saying the WAC top-to-bottom is as good as the SEC. But at the top? Who's to say? Let's find out... we'd be happy to give Florida a "guarantee game" - we travel to the Swamp with no return trip for Florida to the Smurf Turf. What, what's that? Nobody from the SEC will schedule Boise State? Must be because they'd destroy us like Charleston Southern, Troy, and FIU.

There will be two undefeated teams at the end of this season, Alabama (14-0 National Champions) and Boise State (14-0 National Champions, Separate But Equal Division). If Florida with a loss is ranked ahead of Boise State at the year-end poll, that tells you all you need to know about how much the BCS sucks.

Nice article, but seriously Florida would destroy Boise State. Having said that, I agree with the playoff system but Boise wouldn't make it past the first round, especially if they played a middle of the road SEC school like GA or SC

Holy crap people.... Really I think we should take some advice from Mark Twain.

"The mark of an educated mind is to entertain a thought without excepting it."

Sometimes you need to leave your emotions at the door and discuss something with your head. Science is bound to this and religion should use more of it.

[...] Share Whats up guys? While we get ready for the next 2 big games I thought I would have a little fun and post a thread a friend of mine created installing a BCS playoff system. He is from Idaho, a die-hard Boise St fan, so you might understand his frustration with the current system, might not. I do, I think it would suck to basically dominate for 10 years and have a double OT win over Okie to show for it! Granite there schedule is a issue, but the issue for this thread is a playoff. I think he has some great points, but I see some problems in his system, but I thought it was pretty creative and worth a read. So I thought I would share and see if any of yall had any thoughts? 2010 College Football Championship Playoff was an event to remember! | The Radical Writ - The Online... [...]

Hey "R" R,

I enjoyed your article; maybe you'll write a book?

I think there are more and more people who are truly enlightened, who think the way you do...intelligently.

I know you're way busier than the average human, but I think you could fund some of your other creative pursuits with a book---I would buy it right now, were it available...I'm always looking for something interesting to read.

Your book could be about this new age of societal change that we're coming into, and religion could just be one chapter. Other chapters could touch on how you and your ilk are moving Americans and thus the world toward a more sensible solution to drug abuse than this ill-advised war on users that Uncle Sam has jammed down the world's throat for seventy-plus years.

Seriously,

The "El Jefe Hotwings Contest" winner from your hugely popular NORML Daily Audio Stash, (well, one of the winners)

It appears as though the ONLY THING in this boy's life that we can safely say did not contribute to the spree shooting was the pot smoking. (Since there is no documented case in the history of the world that smoking pot alone contributed to a mass murder.) He had all the other risk factors to say the very least.
